~ The never-ending summer ??

? This summer was way different than the usual ones because… Ελπιδοχώρι / Hopeland happened
? Restarting the offline (youth) work after 15 months
? Hosting 3 eco-volunteering teams in the frame of European Solidarity Corps that really shifted and upgraded the vibes of Hopeland forever.
? Executing 2 covid-postponed Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges with a common element the disconnection from technologies.
? Hosting individuals, groups, students and other NGOs offering to the them the off-grid experience for a while.
? Making work with colleagues and friends to a joyful ride that actually doesn’t feel like work was magical.
? Unexpectedly acquiring skills that I would have never imagined or even wished (eg. woodwork, permaculture, eco-building, water treatment, heavy machinery, renewable energies etc)
? Living the village life for the first time in my life and connecting with locals in such a pure and human way.
??ℎ?? ??? ?? ???? ??????????
Sustainability is not a goal but a never-ending process.

?️ This was my contribution to ???????? ??? as a board member within the frame of multiple projects (Greenovation, ReAct, Out of Spiral, Unplugged) and other activities in 1-second-shots ?

Re-ACT preparatory visit [June 2021] ??

~ Working on a local level is always fun ?☕️

? Being abroad after 16 months felt magical
? Travelling by boat and motorbike abroad was also something I have never done before ✅
? Having a great project to deal with, just because I responded to a random Facebook post is unique.
? Meeting partners you never worked with before but feeling like you always know them is priceless.
? Preparing a Volunteering Teams project in Altamura was really inspiring to see what I can also bring in my projects.
? Exploring the region by motorbike, van, on foot was magical, while being onboard a ferry brought other type of #SWY memories.
? Meeting exESC volunteers who changed their lives was so cool
? Coincidental Coops brunch in Bari due to the existence of two different European meetings in the same area was just priceless.
? Being happy to get the 1-second shot habit back, is priceless
?What was my main learning??
Working on a short local level is always more impactful and I should examine possible ways to focus more on local social impact.
